A Secret well kept?

What do you believe in? Do you live a life devoid of happiness, confidence, courage? please read:

By way of introduction I am a catholic but not your conventional catholic. I believe in an all powerful being that knows our inner secrets, wishes, and whatever you can think of. Well!! as for the name I call it GOD too but does not believe in that name tag.  I wish we could only call him the most powerful, most caring being. Let me not disgress as this is not the reason for my writing.

I have recently read a book titled "the Secret", in fact it sits right on my bedsit. The book has been an eye-opening, if not a major confirmation of what I have always felt like: I do not need a priest or pastor to tell me what God thinks about me, my life or where I am going. Now do not get me wrong, "men of God", as they are called are a powerful tool, who have helped over the course of the years numerous people and there must be a reason beyond their existence (whatever their purpose), they can be a compass, to help you navigate your way accross certain realities and whatever you think they can help you with. However when it is a matter of speaking to God, you have as much standing as a man of God. I have no qualm about  men of God's standing, beside who am I to judge,......

I only want to say to whoever is reading this piece, to talk to God, it lives in you and me and it would hear you. In the silence of the night, day, when you shut out any surrounding noise, you can hear hit, and you can ask it out for anything you want, if this is noble and fair, it will grant it. This is the message the "Secret"  is tryng to pass but I guess wanting to appeal to Atheists as well as believers, the book omitted any reference to a "God".

Whatever you ask, ask in confidence, no doubts, just ask, thanking him in advance and you will see the magic happen!! I am writing from experience, there is not a thing I did not ask that was not granted to me and for this I am forever grateful. If asking or talking is too much, simply write it down, as if you were writing to a friend asking for help and do not forget to thank your friend in the letter..........

The Zika Virus: My conspiracy theory!

I woke up today thinking about what is going on in this world, Ebola first and now Zika Virus. Does that not seem a tad suspicious. Let me give you a brief background of  Zika Virus if you are not familiar with it. Zika virus is transmitted to people primarily through the bite of an infected Aedes species mosquito, to date no vaccine or medications are available to prevent or treat Zika infections. The virus in itself does not seem to be directly fatal to humans, however when a pregnant woman gets bitten, it can affect the foetus and as a result the baby may develop microcephaly. Mycrocephaly is a condition where a baby’s head is much smaller than expected. During pregnancy, a baby’s head grows because the baby’s brain grows. Microcephaly can occur because a baby’s brain has not developed properly during pregnancy or has stopped growing after birth, which results in a smaller head size (Picture of a baby with mycrocephaly attached).

Now here where comes my conspiracy theory: What does Latin America and Africa have both in common? 

1. Ever growing population 
2. Continents hit by dready viruses!, hmmmm! 

This has X-Files all written over it. My take on this is that The Zika Virus was engineered with the aim to control birth rate in some countries or continents. If you have read "Inferno" of Dan Brown you will understand where I am coming from. I believe the aim was to sterilise the female population of Latin America, but I guess it did not work accordingly and here we have children born with defects. Very pathetic, whoever is at it simply needs to stop. Call me a nuts, but this is my opinion and since we all know opinions are like belly buttons, every one has them. 

Nigerian Movie - Fifty

I am not going to attempt writing a review, for the simple reason that I can't!!,loool. However what I can say is please go watch this movie. If you have access to Netflix, great! because the movie is already on. It is not so different from the usual. It follows the life of 4 successful women who are 50 or about to turn 50 in the city of Lagos. Again as I said earlier there is nothing new(Similar to Sex and the City), nothing wow about the storyline. The only thing that I loved in "Fifty" was the glamourous lives'depiction of the ladies. Also the quality of the movie and whole scenery was perfect. I look forward to watching more african movies with similar production quality. Please just go watch this, if you are African, you will be proud and happy (not but seriously!!!). If you are not African, hopefully this is a good way for you to see that the continent has also good things on offer. Deuces!!!!

The Bahamas!!!!

This is a very short post.

Last November I had the pleasure to attend one of my best friends wedding in Nassau, the Bahamas. This was the second time for me to be in Nassau and I must say, the town has still kept is enchanted, trance-like state Carribean vibe (if this is even an expression!!). It's a place to visit once in your lifetime, if you can. Aside from the nice beaches, turquoise waters, beautiful women, almost mermaid like (yes I've said it and this is coming from a woman), the food is divine. If you can, also visit their outer islands. One I would love to visit is called Exuma Island. Exuma Island is known for its swimming pigs, how cool!!! For your viewing I have attached a few pictures

Anderson Tours

Last year, around March, my husband and I went on our first ever  European road trip. Anderson Tours was our Tour Operator. The Trip was a weekend trip to Amsterdam and Brugge (Belgium). We left on a friday morning very early, on a coach, went trough Dover, taking the ferry, through France, Belgium and finally Amsterdam, which was our first stop. Thumbs up to Anderson Tours and the lovely staff (driver and super cool tour guide), I am sorry I cannot remember their names. There were very friendly and knowledgeable. The driver has extensive knowledge o Amsterdam and was able to recommend us the go-to places. 

Amsterdam was very busy for me, just like any other big European cities. It is flanked by water network canals. Hence one of the to do list when in Amsterdam is a canal cruise. It is one o the best way to explore the city. Another interesting fact about Amsterdam, was their singing houses. A lot of them are build along the Canals. There seem to be squeezed against each other, very tall and skiny too. The houses are crooked, it is easy to think they are almost falling on you.  They are so many reasons for this. A popular one is that the houses are built on pilings sunk deep into soft soil. They gain added reinforcement by being built adjacent to one another, so each building "leans" on the others in a block for support! How Clever.

One last thing I found astonishing in Amsterdam was "LEGAL WEED!!!". How amazing was it! to see people somking in the street without the fear of being arrested!!! Other European countries should learn from it. Now please do not ask me if I did smoke, as I won't be able to answer, hahahah! (By the way, Amsterdam people seem very lovely and try their fries once there)

We spent friday night and Saturday (whole day) in Amsterdam. On Sunday morning, we hit the road again for Brugges (Belgium) where we spent the afternoon, and left at around 5pm or around, back to London.

Brugge is a very idyllic little town. It seems to have been taken straight out of a fairy tale! It definitely would be wonderful to have a wedding there (take note). Aside from this, not so much to do there, please correct If I am wrong. Brugge pictures attached!!!

La Roche-Posay (Effaclar Range) Review

Hello Glamorous Ones!!!

My first post will be about my skin care journey!. Yes, I know how a lot of ladies struggle with their skin care as I did in the past. If I can find my old pictures I will include them.
First thing is knowing what type of skin you have.i.e: combination?oily?or dry skin? I have oily skin but did not realise it until 3 years ago. I used so many products (I do not want to shade any products but please my beautifuls, stay away from alcohol based products, such as Clinique products, speaking from experience) without seeing any improvements until I met La Roche-Posay Product, to be precise their Effaclar Range. In love........................... It works great or Combination skin (half-oily and half-dry) and is very good for black skin, super affordable too.
I don't want to bore you more, I am including my before and after pictures. If you do have any questions, I will be more than happy to help.
